About the role

In this role you are responsible for developing key functionality of the CDS Application Platform and advancing the tooling in the CDS ecosystem. Your work focuses on feature releases of new SaaS products and platform functions for initial customer requirements and demo pitches. With your support, we want to bring a successful MVP for the platform to market in very short iterations. Here you can show that you master the entire platform stack and can create a novel developer experience. Through your work, countless web developers with standard-framework know-how such as React will create innovative products with cloud services in primary enterprise systems. With your experience, you can shape the latest web technologies so that, on the CDS Platform, building applications on the web is fundamentally simplified.

Responsibilities

•Developing individual releases for an MVP of the CDS Platform
•Enabling experiments with web developers through new platform features
•Designing and developing selected SaaS solutions on the CDS Platform
•Designing and modeling the functional aspects of the domains in micro frontends
•Technical support in developing web portals with the CDS Platform
•Developing system connectors for primary enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and HubSpot
•Building a catalog of available SaaS solutions on the CDS Platform

Technical environment

The platform itself is built entirely on modern web technologies with TypeScript – our focus is on an excellent developer experience for web developers.

•Platform backend with Node.js, Express, and NestJS
•Platform frontend with React and React Router
•Micro-frontend architecture with React and Web Components
•Service communication via Function-as-a-Service APIs with WebSockets or HTTP/2
•Functional domain modeling with BDD and Double-Loop TDD
•Fully automated deployments with quality gates and ArgoCD
•Fully virtualized build/deployment infrastructure on Kubernetes with Webpack, Docker, and modern CI/CD pipelines

Our web portals and individual SaaS solutions are additionally developed with Java and Spring Boot – but as a platform engineer you work primarily on the Node.js/TypeScript-based platform stack.

Compensation model

•Base salary of CHF 80–115k per year at 100% workload
•15–30k individual bonus at 100% achievement of personal OKRs
•Revenue share in the web portal business
