Feasibility Workshop — validate the feasibility of your idea with our experts.
An idea is not yet a business case.
The Problem
You have an idea for a digital product, and the business goal is already fairly clear. What is missing are the answers that come first: Is your budget enough? In what timeframe could this be realised? And how does it fit into the IT you already run? While those three questions stay open, you can neither start the project nor call it off.
The Solution
The Feasibility Workshop answers them in half a day, together with your domain experts. You leave with a product vision, a cut MVP and an honest assessment of feasibility. Even when that assessment reads: not like this.
Two questions, two formats.
Both workshops start from your idea — but they answer different questions. Which one you need depends on how far along you are.
Feasibility Workshop — can this be done?
You have an idea and a business goal. Whether it fits your budget and timeframe is still open.
This fits when …
- •The idea is there, but nobody has ever costed it
- •You need a basis for a decision, not a finished concept
- •Half a day and CHF 4,000 is the frame you want to invest
- •One business problem from everyday work is enough preparation
Mission Analysis — what is it worth?
The direction is set. What is open is which part gets built first and how it fits into your IT.
Then rather Mission Analysis
- •A requirements document or named MVP candidates already exist
- •Several business areas and systems are involved
- •You need a business architecture, not just an assessment
- •Two to four weeks and from CHF 12,000 are acceptable
Not sure? Start with the Feasibility Workshop. It is the extended opening session of the Mission Analysis — nothing you work out here is lost there.
Half a day, clearly framed.
You know upfront what you are investing — and who should be in the room.

Answer our questions
You receive a list of questions from us. The more concretely you answer them in writing, the more effective the workshop becomes. - In the workshop
- 60'
Shared understanding of the problem
Big Picture Event Storming: we capture the important events in the right order, show parallel and conditional flows, and name the people and external systems involved. - 30'
Business goal
We sharpen the shared understanding of value and formulate a s.m.a.r.t. business goal — specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound. - 60'
Usage scenarios
Who should be able to do what with the solution, and in which order? Which manual steps should be automated? With «Pick your Problem» we choose the key scenarios together. - 60'
Feature Discovery
We sketch the feature set, weigh benefit against cost, and cut the scope of a possible MVP. - Follow-up
- afterwards
Documentation
We prepare the results and hand them over: product vision, scenarios, prioritised feature list, and the feasibility assessment.
What we work with.
Proven workshop formats, not consulting slides. Which one we use depends on your starting point — we agree it with you beforehand.

Event Storming
A collaborative workshop method. Visualising events and their interactions makes the connections between the parts of a domain clear. Important collaborations, boundaries, responsibilities and the perspectives of everyone involved become visible.

Impact Mapping
Sharpens the understanding of a digital product's overarching goal. Goals are named and the actors who help or hinder reaching them are identified. An impact map shows which function enables which actor to do what — and which goal that acts upon.

Domain Storytelling
Deepens the understanding of domain knowledge and complex business requirements. In the session, stories are developed that capture the domain logic and how the participants interact.

What you receive as a result.
A functional documentation of the scenarios
Lets you enter implementation with a solid basis instead of an idea.
A prioritised feature list for an MVP
Lets you cut the first release without reopening the discussion at every feature.
An assessment of the feasibility
Lets you decide on go or stop with confidence — even when the answer is «not like this».
How it benefits you.
You know the application scenarios of your MVP
Helps when the team is unclear about what belongs in the first release and what can wait.
You can assess your budget realistically
Helps against the most expensive kind of surprise — the one that appears after approval.
You can plan your market entry
Helps when dates have to be promised to customers or to the management board.
What you bring along.
Half a day with your domain experts
We need the people who really know your processes — without them the assessment stays guesswork.
A short description of your product idea and vision
We use it to aim the half day, so we do not go deep on the wrong question.
A functional problem from your day-to-day business
We work on it concretely — a real example carries further than an abstract requirement.
A rough documentation of your existing IT systems
From it we see where your venture has to dock and what that means for the effort.
What you are probably wondering right now.
The four questions we hear most often — with the answers we also give on the phone.
Is half a day enough to seriously assess feasibility, budget, timeframe and IT integration?
For an assessment yes, for a concept no — and that is exactly the difference. The half day gives you a solid basis for the decision «carry on or not», not a finished architecture. What makes that possible is the preparation: you answer a list of questions in advance, we evaluate them. If the time clearly will not be enough for your venture, we say so before the workshop — not after. Our business goal and product idea are not clear enough yet. Are we ready?
A formulated business goal is not a prerequisite, it is an outcome. One block of the workshop formulates it together with you — s.m.a.r.t., that is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. What you do need to bring is one business problem from everyday work. That is enough.Do we have to prepare our IT documentation beforehand?
A rough overview of your existing systems is enough — what exists, what talks to what. Nobody needs to sacrifice a weekend for it. The more concrete your written answers to our question list, the more effective the workshop; incomplete still beats not at all.Is the result solid enough — or do we just get a rough MVP sketch?
You receive four things in writing: a product vision, the documented key scenarios, a prioritised feature list for an MVP, and the feasibility assessment — economic, timing and technical. That is a basis for a decision, not a requirements document. If you need the latter, the Mission Analysis is the better fit.

What customers who did it with us say.
The Feasibility Workshop gave us confidence that our idea can be realised within budget and on time. Quatico understood very quickly what we wanted to achieve and led us to the result in a pleasantly challenging way.
